VikiTitleIcon is an extension to the VIKI extension which adds support for TitleIcon. If a page has a title icon, this title icon will render as the node logo for that page in place of its wiki logo.
See also the TitleIcon extension for more details on semantic page naming. See also MITRE's extension documentation site.
Installation
[edit]Note: This extension requires Semantic MediaWiki as well as VIKI to be installed and invoked first.
Note: We encourage users of our extensions to download the latest version from the master branch on Gerrit, rather than the most recent MediaWiki release branch. All MITRE extensions on master are production-ready to the best of our knowledge and reflect the versions we run on our own servers internally.
Note: VikiTitleIcon 1.3.0 and later requires TitleIcon 3.0 or later.
- Download and move the extracted
VikiTitleIcon
folder to yourextensions/
directory.
Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/VikiTitleIcon - Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
wfLoadExtension( 'VikiTitleIcon' );
- Done â Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
Note: although TitleIcon functions without explicitly setting the value of $wgTitleIcon_TitleIconPropertyName in LocalSettings.php, this variable must be set for VikiTitleIcon to work properly.
