The BlueSpiceExtendedFilelist extension provides a special page to interact with the wiki file repo. It features a friendly user interface that allows sorting and filtering by a variety of fields.

Installation

  • Download and move the extracted ExtendedFilelist folder to your extensions/ directory.
    Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
    git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/ExtendedFilelist
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
    wfLoadExtension( 'ExtendedFilelist' );
    
  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.

Usage / features

  • ExtendedFileList contains a list with files.
  • While typing a search string in the search filter, the number of listed files is reduced.
  • If there are many results, these are shown on several pages. The maximum number of results per page can be set.
  • Columns with different information can be toggled on and off. The columns can be (ascending/descending).
  • Columns can be filtered.
  • An upload button allows uploading files.
