Extension:ArrayFunctions/Getting started/Download and installation

This page details the steps to install ArrayFunctions on your wiki. ArrayFunctions can be installed like any other extension.

Prerequisites

To be able to install ArrayFunctions, you must be running at least PHP 7.4 and MediaWiki 1.35.6.

Recommendations

The extensions below are not required to use ArrayFunctions, but are recommended. The guide and examples might assume that these are installed.

• Extension:Scribunto - allows you to use Lua to construct arrays.
• Extension:Semantic MediaWiki with Extension:Semantic Scribunto - allows you to store and query structured data through Lua.

Installation

• Download and move the extracted ArrayFunctions folder to your extensions/ directory.
  Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/ArrayFunctions
• Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:

  wfLoadExtension( 'ArrayFunctions' );
  // Increase $wgMaxArticleSize to allow for larger arrays (default: 2048)
  $wgMaxArticleSize = 8192;
  

•  Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
