As far as MediaWiki is concerned, I'm working with DondreKhan on a historical wiki with some basic form of peer review. It's a more specialized educational version of Wikipedia and less intense than Citizendium. As a psychology expert, their goal of preventing hostility by requiring real names is severely flawed.
