updateArticleCount.php is a maintenance script which updates the article count.
It simply counts the total articles on the wiki and updates the statistics in site_stats table.

Usage
[edit]php maintenance/run.php updateArticleCount [ --update| --use-master ]

In MediaWiki version 1.39.10 and earlier, you must invoke maintenance scripts using
php maintenance/scriptName.php instead of php maintenance/run.php scriptName.It will only count the number of articles and output the result, without updating the value.
To update the site statistics table, run the script with the --update option.
